Disappearing Computers

I have been slowly crafting and upgrading a ship, and I have had this happen twice now. After adding multiple rows of alternating Cannon/Salvage, I go back into Flight Mode and my linked controllers are missing. Hitting T brings up all the other computers on my ship, but not these two. Both computers are physically present in my ship, linked to the arrays, but not showing. I really am tired of rebuilding and relinking these things. Is this something that has been talked about? Can't use search to see, but browsing shows nothing similar. Any assistance appreciated. Cheers.

If the computers physically exist but do not show in the weapons menu, they are probably unlinked from the Ship Core. Press C on the core and V on the computers to readd them (weapons cannot be connected to the core and logic at the same time last I checked).

Hit C on your core if those computers aren't lit up in purple hit V on them and they should show up.

Yup, link them back to the core manually, something killed your linkage.

If you have any kind of logic interacting with the computers, that will usually unlink them from the core.

Thanks for the assist, re-linking manually worked. Saved a lot of SHFT-V.......

Any ideas on what causes this? This is the first time I have seen it, twice now on one ship.

Since the affected computers are cannon/salvage, I assume it was a salvage array with a cannon slave. Some people tend to hook their salvage arrays up to logic clocks and timers, doing so detaches the computer from the core. The game also has randomly derped and detached things in the past, but that is either still uncommon or has been fixed. Probably was a logic based mishap.

It was slaved, but no logic involved. I've not played in 8 months or so, so likely something through one of the updates since. Thanks.
