directional fire

I am having an issue with using directional fire with a wepons computer on a turret. (havent tried it with missles yet). I put it facing down off the core and tested it and it shot that direction but when i put it on a ship as a turret it started shooting out the side.

what i think happened is when i attached it to the side of the ship it became part of it and the side of the turret became the bottom is there anyway to make it so the wepon computer still recognises the turret as a seperaate entity to keep it shooting the original direction

Now fire in the direction the weapon computer is facing.

So if your weapon computer is facing the left your shots will fire to the left.
