Differnce between hull blocks?

Short question - is there a difference of the stats between the different colored hull blocks? I wonder why grey hull blocks are so much cheaper? Less armor?

AH that's the consequence of an update. originally they would all cost the same. Soon, there will be better hulls in all colors available (if you have the money).

I think it tells you exactly how mutch defense each one gives you in the description box at the store.
