Darker Darkness in the Future

    A simple suggestion; when/if the flashlight is featured in a release could we have dark areas pitch-black again? Pretty much a cosmetic thing, but battles and exploration would be a lot more tense in darker areas, having players rely on their flashlights in caves and such.

    I'm hoping that the lighting system will receive further love farther down the line. Dark areas should be very dark, but light from light sources should reach a long ways. That way, we can put in a light block in a large area and have at least a little ambient light in a reasonable distance, without the light fading within 6 blocks. I hope optimizations will allow light to reach farther in future versions.

    Kinda dark anyway, in the latest release (and maybe one or two before?) things don't ever get pitch-black, it makes the Derelict Delta quite a bit less creepy. If we had aggressives spawning in derelict stations with the Fauna system it would be nice to have them jumping out of shadows and dark corners.
