Some info on Cubatoms. Much better version here
Cubatoms have four Attributes
Each Attribute has four Levels
Nomenclature
Cubatom names are determined by the first three letters of the Attribute Levels.
Example Cubatom
mass Neg
spinning nul
thermal gas
conductivity sup
This Cubatom would be named Negnulgassup with Levels at 1/2/3/4
The Cubatom Menu
Split: Split blocks into Natural Cubatoms.
Refine: Alter one Cubatom with another.
Fabricate: Create blocks with Cubatoms.
Split
Splitting allows the player to split blocks into Natural Cubatoms.
Natural vs Special
A Natural Cubatom has no Level 4 Attributes and can be created through splitting or refining.
A Special Cubatom has at least one Level 4 Attribute and must be created by refining.
Refine
Refining Cubatoms works by altering one Cubatom with another.
The process consumes the second Cubatom and changes the first into a new Cubatom by altering its Attribute Levels.
Altering a Level with an equal or greater Level results in a 1 Level Increase.
Altering a Level with a lesser Level results in a 1 Level Decrease.
Altering a Level 1 will always yield a Level 2, as it is the lowest Level.
Altering a Level 4 with a level 4 will yield a Level 3, as it is the highest level.
The order of combinations matter, (Level 1 + Level 2 = Level 2) vs (Level 2 + Level 1 = Level 1).
Example: Neg/ant/sol/dra + Neg/ant/sol/ins = Lig/nul/liq/ins
1/1/1/1 + 1/1/1/2 = 2/2/2/2
Fabricate
Fabricating blocks with Cubatoms is simple. When selecting a block to fabricate, a picture of the required Cubatom Attributes is shown.
Simply select 1 or 2 Cubatoms that contain all of the necessary Attributes.
Example: SD pc1.3 Power Tanks
The Cubatom displayed has
1 Black Stripe =Level 2
- Yellow Symbol =Level 2
4 Red Dots =Level 4
No White Symbols =Any Level
To fabricate this block would require a single 2/2/4/ANY (Lig/nul/pla/ANY) Cubatom or two Cubatoms who together contain the necessary Attribute Levels, say a 2/3/3/4 (Lig/bas/gas/sup) and a 3/2/4/1 (Med/nul/pla/dra)
All blocks require at least one Level 4 Attribute to fabricate.
