Crashes When I Try to fire salvage Beam

Ill load into a game, and it will work just fine. I can build and shoot the normal guns. But when assign my salvage beam to a number and then left click to fire it, it crashes, and im not sure why. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Also im on a mac, and its drivers are updated

There is a problem with Beams on Mac .. afaik. And i am not sure if its cause has been nailed down already.
Can you start up the game and crash it again with the salvager beam to produce a new Log.txt.0 file to upload here ?
and try disabling "Draw Beams" under Options in game and see if that works then without crashing when using the salvage beams

Turning off the beam helped. I do not crash anymore, and everything works fine. Thank you again!
