Hello, it is my sad duty to inform you of the removal of Tomino Sama from the Council.
We created the Council in order for the community to be able to provide their input and suggestions to Schine in an organized and manageable way. It is the duty of the councilors to respectfully and professionally communicate with both Schine staff as well as the community as a whole.
During the initial planning meetings of the Council, Tomino Sama refused numerous times to utilize the tools that the council was given to perform its duties. He flatly refused to provide his availability to aid in the scheduling of council meetings.
After several other issues, in a vote of 5 for and 1 against, Tomino Sama was voted out of the council by a vote of his peers. It is crucial for people to understand that Schine did not have any involvement in the vote. It was initiated and processed directly by the councilors that were elected by the community.
Going forward, we here at Schine hope that the council is able to operate in the capacity it was intended to. We will be making a separate announcement when the replacement councilor is notified and they have accepted the position.
We hope that this sort of thing does not happen again, we are currently asking the council to develop an official process for impeachment of councillors in the future. The council will make an announcement regarding this process when it has more information.
