Have you ever seen table-screens?
Or Holographic-Projectors which show a hologram inside a glass-pyramid?
Star-Made computers should be able
The very same code could be re-used to place blocks in different directions depending on player position / rotation.

- These technologies already exist IRL
Star-Made computers should be able
- to orientate their screen-side texture always toward the player (depending on LOS emit position vs texture position)
- respect player orientation around the line-of-sight (roll).
The very same code could be re-used to place blocks in different directions depending on player position / rotation.
- Some players (like me) may find it intuitive if there is no "3D north/south pole" which restricts rotation.
- Instead of (6 faces * 4 orientations = 24) you would have to move/rotate yourself and only switch 6 faces which may be faster in some situations.
