Combat Music

    I have often been out mining without a care in the world when DEAD!!.
    I feel that combat music is a good way to tell when an enemy is gunning for you.

    Maybe not combat music per se, but an audible sound when a ship, station, or astronaut shows up on your overview (overview being the list of nearby objects on the Navigation menu, think EVE Online). Maybe make 1 ping sound for neutral/friendly NPC's and friendly PC's, and another, more alert-like sound for neutral/hostile PC's, hostile NPC's, or pretty much anything that shows up in red.

    We need multiple attack notification types. I want my spaceship's computer to do a veritable backflip and scream like a little girl at the first sign of the tiniest missile, not to mention any other attack.

    Well, I think its a safe assumption that things like music and sound cues are going to be in the game later on.

    We do need to remember, this is still an alpha. Things like music are really the last pass kind of thing for me. Bake the cake, then ice it.

    You can make one with the rails. A bit blockish though.

    You can have a visual representation of audio signals with logic.
    Or use different weapon sounds for a noise-code (you could change the sound files, as weapon sound in space is dumb anyway).
