Here's an interesting one that is 'fixed' when restarting the client. If the problem persisted, and didn't correct itself after a restart, it probably was going to be a show stopper until after it was fixed. I KNOW this is Alpha, and would have been looking forward to the fix.
What I did was added a bunch of plex containers to my ship for additional storage space when I'm out foraging. In the image below, the scroll bar just got in the way and was annoying me to no end. I click the "button" to scroll down, and I end up clicking the item underneath. Ok.. Fine. Scroll button on the mouse works, but the button and the arrows on the scroll bar don't. So I started to remove the additional containers. However, the list didn't empty. I dumped the containers into space, ALL of them that were in "Slot 1" in the image below, but still that drop down was populated. So next, decided to recollect the containers, restart the client, then that list was properly populated.
This isn't the first time I've had an issue with a block still being associated with something else and the association doesn't go away when collected or placed somewhere else. I've had instances with factories where I collect a factory to place it somewhere else, but it still thinks it belongs to its previous parent, when in reality, the newly placed factory is actually on the other side of the station.
