Cockpits linkable to weapons computers

Hey all,



My suggestion is that it could be possible to link cockpit to a weapons console, so the weapons computer could be in another section of the ship but still have a decent viewpoint when firing?

But can\'t you do that already with setup the way it is now? You can install cockpits wherever you want, including places from which you can watch your guns blazing well. At the same time weapon console in many designs isn\'t anywhere near cannons and looking through it wouldn\'t be really useful then.
