Complete cloaking may be hard to get and unheard of to some players, but I have seen it quite a bit. Anyone with a lot of power and cloaks can stay cloaked for more than ten minutes at a time. They shoot, then they instantly turn invisible again. They are impossible to kill. Could you please make it so that cloaked ships are still slightly visible, or when a ship uncloaks, it has a delay before it cloaks again? If so, thanks.

That does sound annoying, but I would make it so you cannot run shields while cloaked and shields take some time to activate. And maybe some sort of detection system

Only balance that this needs is a way to defeat radar jammers.

    Specifically - actual Radar/Sensor blocks

IE: If your Radar Jammer\'s power-per-block is stronger than the enemy ship\'s sensors, then your IFF is hidden, and vice-versa.

As for cloaking, that tricks your eyes, not your ship. You can\'t see them, but the ship can. That\'s why there\'s an IFF.

Turns out he did have shields, just very low recharge, and radar jammers. Sorry, forgot to point out. Anyone using missiles and doing this does an asston of damage.

Full cloaked ships don\'t do any serious damage at this time. Thus just don\'t fly in a bathtube but a serious ship and they can\'t bother you. And use \"search\" before opening ANOTHER thread...

Honestly a cloaked ship can\'t really threaten a well armed ship, the thing is a cloaked ship needs to be able to generate enough power to overcome the mass of the ship. More mass means that the cloak and jammer use up more power. To have enough sheilds and guns means you also need to have a power system powerful enough to support the extra mass while not also not adding too much mass itself. Really in the end all we need is a radar system that acts as a counter to the jammer since the jammer matters a lot more for the entire ship then the cloak.

Use the Pulse rays or pulsars things you can get at shops. They stop a ship from doing just about anything, (including yours, if you can get some power savers for your ship you\'re fine) Then get out of there.
