Cloaking and jaming

    How does one effectively utilize cloaking and jamming systems on a ship? I looked at the wiki which said that only one of each was needed and that the cloaking system required 1000 power/s for every 1 mass while the jammer required 500. I have a ship with enough power to remain cloaked and jammed indefinately with these power requirements yet even just one of the systems shuts off as soon as I activate it.

    What am I missing here?

    you can see yourself cloaked while noone else can, ask a friend to watch you to see if you do cloak

    The problem is that the second I activate cloaking or jamming the power is instantly drained causing said system to shut off.

    If your power/s is greater than your power storage, than all that power is lost. -- ish (not actually 100% on the facts here)

    Power storage is important.

    I made a cloak/jam ship before. It has to be made of mostly power generators, if you know how try and make them a efficient as possible. Tanks are optional, unless you are trying to make a big cloak ship.
