Charon - a WIP titan (UPDATE #4.1)

This is a "little" project I started about two months ago. It's going to be my own personnal titan with a "computer controlled, no crew (apart from the pilot)" theme, meaning fairly futuristic and robotic looking. It's 100% inspired and built completely by hand (also my first real ship).

Edit: I forgot to mention that it currently sits at 1160m long

I have the bare undetailed hull made so far and the undersided gian turret (which I filled already):

The front (I added some weapons already, purely cosmethic for now):





The mega turret (ship will only be equiped with one of those):

I designed it as a sniper turret, I have detailed some parts of it so far, it currently has:

250k dps, 6km range

15million power consumption

10 million power regen (the rest will be supplyed by the titan)

6.3 million shields

138k mass

I\'m glad you finally made a thread for this! I saw you post pictures in the chat for a while but now the ship can have a home of it\'s own.

Great lines and smooth curves on the guns ... Can\'t wait to see the finished ship.

Are those greyish areas on the ship plex doors or grey hull?

The two flat panels with the sort of motif on them on both sides of the ship at the level of the bridge are hangar doors (the hangar makes the entire width of the ship). The rest is grey standard hull (because hardened is way too expensive):

=P black/grey hull is easy to get early ingame

just find 5 stations, mine all their hull and make a few recpies

then make a factory and make more black/grey hull

Firestar, don\'t get me wrong, I spawned in the blocks (to save myself from doing the process described by steath). I\'m just using normal hull because I plan to use this ship on servers and such. Besides, when the hull alone is 60k mass hardened hull gets a wee bit expensive (for no gain). As for the ships I plan to dock inside, well... doesn\'t exist yet. This is my first actual ship. First as in its not a shitty little placeholder I deliberately botched in 10 minutes to deal with pirates. Before you say, I know, it\'s a bit abusive as a first ship but I\'ve been wanting to make something like that even before I started playing starmade.

get hardend hull...

make a factory producing hardend hull wedges/corners and then have another factory making those into hull blocks wedge to block! thats how I\'m making my legit titan class...cant post and pics though, can\'t figure out how.

Any ways amazing ship! AWESOME turret that thing is huge!

Ok, so I got some time to work on the turret today and managed to get the barrels completely finished (including where they connect to the main body of the turret). I still need to add minor detail to the turret and it\'s will be finished.

I also finished installing the systems inside of it. Final stats are:

• 250k dps, 6km range
• 15 million power consumption, 10 million power regen, 33 million power supply (just so it could fire, the rest of the needed power will be supplied by the main ship)
• 6.3 million shields.

Through seriously, that\'s a sick looking turret. Espically like the tubing, too bad that can\'t be done as well on smaller ships

I\'ll give it some occasions to KILL ALL HUM.... uh.... I mean.... to shoot some derelict uninhabited staions from time to time :P
