This is my work in progress Destroyer. It's already got a large anti-capital turret placed that is more or less a placeholder till the new weapon updates come out. The basic role of this ship is going to be to defend the fleet's main carrier against other large ships.

Stats are pretty close to where I'd like them to be:

    Energy: ~ 880 million

    Regen: ~ 12 million

    Shields: ~ 12 million

    Mass: 290K

    Thrust: 695K

Kind of lost interest in this project but I have revived it! The plan is to focus solely on it till it\'s complete.

Here is a little peak of the bottom:

I\'d call that more a dreadnought than a battleship imo.

I\'ve been doing a little research and I think based on it\'s role in my fleet it might end up being called a destroyer. From what I can tell destroyers play a more defensive role in a carrier battle group. Since this ship is intended to defend the main carrier of my fleet, it only makes sense to call it one.

The level of detail on impressive, especially on a ship that size. Those window ports look great and will look even better in the new build.

Love the work so far. Keep it up!

I found an old pic that I took near the begging of the build that shows how I built the ship. I built most of the shape of the ship with shield blocks in an effort to not waste any space. I have since built a few other ships this way and really liked the outcome.

Unable to get onto the server I built this ship on at this time. I decided to make a small version of it

I think in the end, this little ship will be classed as a Destroyer and the bigger one might end up being a Dreadnought as a couple people have stated in the thread.

You can see the family resemblance. Nice job on the smaller version, man.

Also, aren\'t class names supposed to suggest the purpose of the ship? I\'d say that dreadnought is a term for a frontline attack vessal, not an escort vessel. Maybe \"Capital Destroyer\" as a class designation?

I\'m nearing completion of a whole fleet of ships. Once complete I will be making a large forum thread with lots of pics and all the downloads of course!

I\'ve almost finished the outside detailing. All that is left is the turrets and some other small touches. I\'m going to start working on the interior in the rather large space I set aside for it. The amount of space is rather ambitious based on my track record of completing interiors. Oh well, I\'ll give it a shot!
