If you have too many blueprints game will not start sometimes, copy your blueprints to a different folder. It might also help if you update Java and make sure that JRE or JDK is from Oracle's website and not from other sites. JDK 8 comes with JRE.
another thing that can happen is that the java updater for some reason whatsoever decides to "update" your 64bit java version with a 32bit version.
If then your ram settings for java are to "high" star made wont start. Happened to me once.
I once managed to set my whole starmade folder to read only (still no idea how i managed that by accident). With starmade unable to write into the database files it instantly crashed.
