Cant get game to start

the game stps at 99 then brigs up a critical error thing can someone show me or tell me how to fix this?

I may have a similar problem. My error message says, quote, \"Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.\" My friend Kris, who is a programmer, thinks that Starmade isnt updated to the latest version of java.
