Cant connect to any multiplayer server...

When ever I try to connect to a multiplayer server ot just stops at connecting to ip address(example: connecting to 24.91.56.117:4242) and after that wont do anything. PLEASE HELP

I\'m having the same issue, but mine occours in single player as well and leaves me with \"connecting to localhost:4242\"
