Hello Developers!
I am writing to report a couple of glitches discovered with a ship I built myself.
I built a compact fighter which was agile ad handled well. I decided to give it a scorpion tail to add space for thrusters, but as soon as I added it, the ship began to glitch in flight.
Rolling (z & x) started behaving as if I were continuously colliding with an object in the direction I was attempting to roll in.
Releasing either key would send the ship into a slow tailspin that could not be halted with the brakes.
The tail also seemed to 'draw' or roll the ship towards objects to hook into them in places with no gravity; such as shops or dead stations.
Whatever caused it to behave like this may also be the reason that it cannot be spawned back in, as only previous saves of the ship WITHOUT the tail can be bought back. It occured to me there could be a directional conflict going on with the long row of thrusters, but I have seen others pile thrusters high behind them in a stack much taller than the relative position of the core, and so I presumed this was a glitch.
I have asked others to spawn my ship, and they too cannot produce it. They are however happily bringing in iconic and enormous ships found on the internet, so it is not a fault with the server we are on.
I still have all the saves, if it would help any with troubleshooting, I could mail them.
I have included 2 screenshots of my ship in profile, which shows its tail. In these two shots, it has meandered all by itself (with the speedometer at 0.0, despite it moving) to hook its tail into a station and against a shop, when I let go of the brakes.
Curiously,
