Can ShipYard designs be copied like BPs ?

The title says most of what I would like to know.
A bit more detail on how the mechanics work would be good.
Can I take a design and pass it on to another server and if so, how?
or do I have to BP it and transfer the files of that BP?

Will designs replace BPs and if so how will we share them on sites such as this?

you have to "create blueprint from Design" from a loaded Design.

beware there might be a problem with the resulting Blueprint
(should be OK , but i had one corrupted BP in testing that i couldnt reproduce)

Thanks, then I think I am going to continue BPing everything still and not rely on SY designs.
