It would be great if we had a button to make the block we are pointed at get automatically in our hands in for example: creative mode

why we would need this?

example: you need to replace one specific decoration block instead of searching for it you click on the button to get it in your hand you destroy it and you put it somewhere else

or you need more delay blocks but you already moved it away from your hotbar you click on the delay blocks you putted earlier and then continue adding more

I was on the edge of suggesting this myself. Seems like you were a step ahead. Yes, this is badly needed. Not only in Creative mode, but also to place inventory blocks on the hotbar slot if you have them in Survival.
