Just a random idea, but while in build mode, would it be cool to have other people see your veiwpoint location/direction via a 2d plane/beam shooting forward from your perspective?
kind of like the scanning beam from the Borg, (yes, then you can see if someone is scanning you)
it would also look cool seeing someones triangular scan beam moving around and looking around as they maneuver around a ship that they are building/repairing, instead of blocks mysteriously popping in/out of existance
maybe even add a burst/pulse of laser beam as a block is removed/added, and a non-clipping graphic "drone" where the build mode players perspective is currently located
