build blocks (not a bug but i dont know where else to put it

im having a problem where when i try to enter a build block with r, it says that only ships can be entered at the moment. im not sure if this is a common problem but either way, can someone help me?

this happens to me if i put a build block on an asteroid. on asteroids i also can\'t use chests and faction blocks so it might be just the way asteroids work. not sure if you are having this problem on asteroids or elsewhere though. i know it works on stations and planets.
