Just a thought, the Bobby AI doesn't seem to do much in the way of actual damage as yet, and it would be great if it could target specifically other ship cores in order to do some mean crowd control. Imagine going pirate raiding and the turrets took out the enemy ships with minimal damage to systems by specifically targeting the core and only the core!

It wouldn't work. You can't disable a ship by shooting the core alone

The combat use to be focused on shooting the core to kill the ship. It is much better now that it is no longer like that.

it needs a few more edge cases in what it targets though, if no Systems aim for power/shields, if none there aim for armor, it also needs a aim for anything else case for things like asteroids and planets since those don't always have the blocks of a ship or station to be targeted. :)

The bobby AI does need a serious overhaul..... it tries to lead cannons by firing AT THE BACK of the targeted ships XD XD XD thus for some reason seems absolutly hopless at hitting anything with them

no, it targets system blocks. but since it doesn't aim for CoM anymore you can end up with that situation.
