Blocks take forever to render

The game loads and the shop takes five minutes to load.
I place a block and it and it has physics but takes about 30 seconds to render.
I have an ATI graphics card the is fully supported and all of my drivers are up to date.

Is there any way to fix this or is it a problem with the game?

I\'m pretty certain it\'s a problem with the game rather than your card or computer. I don\'t want to hark on about it being alpha, but that\'s probably going to be your first thing to blame at this stage. If you\'re not sure, test out another game or graphically intense application. I do wish that these performance issues got fixed before adding in new content though.
