block damage vs total destruction

    In real life and movies, when a piece of equipment or computer gets damaged to the point it stops working, it doesn't disintegrate, it is still there in its damaged form. In this game, if the block has 1hp left, it still functions normally, the next hit turns it into space dust.

    My solution: double the hp of system blocks, and make them non functional at <50% hp. also, give astrobeams a penetration ability. Make it so they can repair blocks deep inside the ship.

    This would make repair missions much more enjoyable. Basically, astrobeams are almost useless right now, especially since you can remove and undo to repair the damage faster.

    They all keep working at 1hp.
