what if we introduce a "creep" block that spreads out from the placing point over a course of time. when the blocks are destroyed they grow back over time as well.

this would allow people to "grow" ships and armor

This could enhance survivability if it grows in battle.
Now you can make it grow from inside to outside the shield bubble.

I kinda guessed it had but I don't know if the previous versions had "Creep" effect where it spans out from the block placement time to cover blocks

Astrotech + rotating armor cylinder or wheel = is as close as we can get for now.. making blocks that regenerate sounds cool but what if a ship collides into it while it's regenerating? It sounds finnicky if it would work without any hassles, but then it would be exploitable too.. i think.

Just keep the collision volume, except vs projectiles.

    Bio-Amour sounds delicious.
Can we get bio-mining lasers for spiritual fuel ;)

    Oooooooh! Cool idea!

There's also a chamber that restores armor HP.

Either way, these solutions won't help with fully destroyed blocks.
