Better Docking and Blueprint Suggestion

    Hi guys, its me again.

    Just hat an idea for Docking and Blueprints.

    First the docking. Im annoyed of the enhancer system. It just does not make sense. The Enhancers dont even have to be connected directly to the docking port. And they waste a lot of space. So now with the Meta items, why dont just make the Docking module have an inventory where i can place the Enhancer items and then distribute the points in each direction, and further in half axes. in example the x axis left of the core and the x axis right from the core independantly.

    And for the Blueprints, first i think its kinda strange that i can build any ship on the server that is not protected or something. i think it would be way cool if i could only build my own blueprints, and can find or buy others from players or in pirate stations or such. And i think its weird that its possible to spawn the ship right out of my pocket. i think there should be a new block. The wharf block. You build a wharf, expand the size similar to my docking idea and then choose the blueprint, choose if you like to build from money or blocks in a linked storage or input block or so and then its build. If its possible it were really cool if it wont just spawn then, but be build in high speed. Layer for layer or such. And additional you could dock a build ship on the wharf and can disassemble the ship and the blocks would be in the input or storage as mentioned.

    Thats the point. The Blueprint thing is too easy for now. And the Docking part would be much easier.

    Oh, and it would be nice if you would point out what part would be more complicated.

    Blueprint spawning right now is ridiculous and should utilize some synconization with the factory units. See my post for my suggestions on how the factory would work with blueprints, it\'s very similar to yours.

    Complicated is a good thing for this game. Building ships is complicated and be even more so.

    BlackZero500, I have been dreaming of that kind of setup being implemented, especially if purchasing the ship required the actual blocks instead of cash. Keeps people from spamming powerful ships without gathering the resources. The wharf/shipyard idea would also add further depth to faction vs faction, since finding and destroying (or hijacking!) ships under construction before they were built would be a valid tactic. Now, if only the production aspect of the game were to reach IndustrialCraft2 levels of complexity ...

    Yeah exactly. And it could even be possible to dock a Ship to a wharf and then repair the damage with the blueprint if you know how i mean.
