better ai

    I feel that the bobby ai module should have an added feature for ships being that you can make small fighters to follow your ship and then attack an enemy similar to a turret but instead a ship that just follows your ship such as the carrier from the protoss in starcraft 2... any thoughts?

    Would be nice if we could flag certain ships as like \"Carrier\" or \"Battleship\" or \"Cruiser\", etc... possibly even add in some scanner block that tells us what ranking the ship is? also depends on mass perhaps?(Aswell set \"groups\" to certain bobby AI\'s...)



    which could also lead to that we could say like /fleet scout move 2, 2, 2 or even enter the module and have the galactic map appear and we use that to designate a spot for the fleet to move.

    i feel like for realism purposes we should also have to add a radar block to get a radar for our ship otherwise you dont have a radar, and it could be like the jammer and the cloaker the more radar blocks that are adjacently placed the longer range you have on your ship

    Really want this. I want to build a massive drone army to help me fight off all the things in space that want to hurt Me.


    I\'m actually going to make a bigger thread that has a similar subject to this one. But with more complex, and possibly cool ideas.

    i agree alkarym i currently am working on a massive carrier ship that could do with a few salvage turrets

    Why not just have fully customisable AI with an option of simplistic and complicated - you could make scouting ships that have radars on them to find and seek out an enemy or resource, as well as engage it if possible or harvest it if possible
    Also, I like the idea of Radar blocks, it just doesn\'t seem right to be able to see everything in the sector instantly

    Having the option to set AI to \"escort\" would be great, or for turrets to be set to \"repair\" with repair lasers so you can have repair turrets in your dock or hanger. Or \"collide\" to make space mines.

    guys theres a reason its called bobby ai, they name it so they can add different ai\'s later in the game
