This is EAMS Pteranodon fighting against three waves of pirates simultaneously, as I tested its new updated turrets' capabilities. Many CIWS turrets died to bring us this information.

As I mentioned in the first post, I was testing turrets that were updated to the new system. I've since created a beam version of the Ceres-Heavy, and the Ceres-CIWS now has three variants - explosive cannon, punch-through missiles, and boosted-range beams. The most recent work was done on the Ceres-Medium, which now has shield-busting ion missiles, and explosive cannon.

All turrets needed shield rechargers to be added. I had to load a really old version of the Siberia missile cruiser so I could fit rechargers and new weapons.

We should really do this again sometime with the bigger sector sizes. The warping around was the worst part of the battles.

Heh yeah we should, it was really fun last time.
Indeed, the warping and lagging was quite annoying at times.

Nice footage there. During the battle it was interesting to see how VT's mixture of smaller flanking gunships and larger tanking capitals held up against TE's mass and really nice turrets.

Not sure if it counts as awesome but I found this shot of my "The End" defensive missile array amusing. It's so names because it ends the play session by locking up and disconnecting the server. :-(
