I haven't had an actual shipyard thread in quite some time. Might as well get one rolling. I'll post WIP ships in here, sorted by ship style.

    Black and White

    Frigate
    WIP
    135 meters

A modestly sized frigate, the Vikunya is an exploration ship with accommodations for a crew of 30, and passengers and VIPs to boot. Crew quarters aren't particularly comfortable, but the variety of amenities makes up for it, and those aboard the ship are unlikely to stay sick for any period of time due to the high quality medical bay.

More pictures to come as I complete more of the ship.

    Entrance Hall

    Infirmary

    Intensive Care Unit

    Quarantine

That thing sure has a lot of prisoner and patient space for such a small-ish ship. =]

Great use of wedging though. Top notch build so far.

I love the greyscale color. So utilitarian. Got some color seeping through in the medical areas, though. Color frightens me. :schema:

Good use of metal grid. It makes me wish we had metal grid door blocks.

This thread title promised black and white, but upon clicking I see that it is actually just grey all over.

    Also DAAYYUUMM that looks good.

    Bumpin' with a replica WIP.

The Imperial Immobilizer 418 Cruiser, 1:1 scale.

600 meters long, 100 tall, 300 wide. Right now it's just a shell - but the basic shape and the biggest features are, for the most part, where they need to be. Just gotta add the cutouts to the sides of the wedge, and its shape will be totally completed.

This thing's going to be heavier than any other ship I've completed when it's finally finished.

Edit: Bridge fully fleshed out, w/ windows

More progress on the Immobilizer 418 - slabbed, started work on the hull's detail shaping, did the engines and most of the rear. Pardon spots on the rear that aren't totally wedged yet - they're slated for completion when I do more of the detailing on the bottom of the ship.

Designed one of the turret types that'll be coating the thing, but I haven't installed mounting points for them yet. Those will come with the heavier detailing.

More work on the Immobilizer 418. Redesigned the bridge, both interior and exterior.

Started on the Arquitens light cruiser, Imperial edition. Also a 1:1 replica. Got quite a bit of work done.

Very neat. Nice looking Arquitens. Looks a lot different from the Republic Arquitens for some reason, though that may just be the color scheme.

There are a couple differences. For instance, the bridge doesn't have those bizarre angled projections down the side. I think they also made a few adjustments in the shape of the hull.

I'm using the Imperial Light Cruiser model as it appears in Star Wars: Rebels as the base for it, so there are probably a few more differences between it and the Clone Wars/Ep2/Ep3 ones that I haven't noticed.

There were quite a few minor changes to the Arquitens after being inducted into the Imperial Navy.

I'll need to smite it with my oversized but less detailed Republic Arquitens though since it's Imperial.

I think that might be a bit one-sided, with the size difference and all :P

So are you planning any other Imperial Builds?
Yes. I'll probably be dipping into the EU/Legends ships for them, though. The stuff over 1km is excessive, and I don't think it would be wise for me to try to make it. :P

    Nice use of litote, Azeriah.

Litote is dramatic use of understatement.

    They're UGLIER THAN THAT.

But I think that the Gozanti-class is even uglier.
