My project is to building a model of the ship of the atlantis city present in the series stargate atlantis



the dimensions have been reduced to avoid too much lag
it will be approximately 600 m in diameter

She have 370 000 blocks for now

Looks like a good start, I would think it will take a long time to finish though, having to make each building

I would probably have made the city a \'station\', and steal the atmosphere bubble from a planet to make it in. But that\'s just me.



Be on guard against pirates, or turn them off, or else you will be logging on very, very angry about your city getting trashed.

This looks good. The outline seems accurate enough, which would be the hardest part in my opinion.

actually, if you look at places like Pixelart, you can build a surprising amount of detail by \'faking it\' with macro-pixellation of blocks. People have been doing that in minecraft for quite a while now.

Up close it might not look so good, but from a distance, you can make those towers look incredibly detailed.

Ye if u scale it so 1 floor is only one block etc it could look awesome. It you would be willing to upload the base of the build i would love to have a at constructing a few of the buildings? Puhapse then send some detailed photos of the building for you to reproduce.

Here\'s the trick:



make a special texture pack specifically for the city.

will go a long way towards making it outstanding.

Isn\'t the underside of it curved? Would give you a lot more space for the shields etc as also with this shape.

Good job man, keep up the hard work.

My best advice: Take your time and put in as much detail as possible, because the ships in stargate are very intricate, and this is what makes them beautiful.

Accuracy is also important! Dont forget interior detail, like the ring room and other bits from the show. Dont just fill the hull with energy and shields and crap like that, fill it with detail first, then fill some gaps with energy.

i don\'t think build the place of the stargate in the center tower because she is to small for a good result.

I dont think so.. You could scale it down to make it more of a decoration. You could definitely make a little stargate in there with some wedges.
