    1. Glass that acts like doors so you can make canopies like the Vipers from BSG.

    2. Making doors look like other blocks, so that if you put a hanger door in the side of a ship it can look like the blocks around it and not spoil the asthetic.

    3. Wedge, Corner, Tetra and Penta doors so they can fit on sloped sides and other places.

    1. this should be a separate block
    2. instead, we should have doors for every colour of hull, rather than making it invisible
3.suggested a million times, schema said no, but maybe later), because he doesn't see much point

There is a much lighter-weight, and potentially cooler way to approach this issue: "hinge" docking. Build your door or canopy out of whatever you want, as a separate entity. Place a "hinge" block at the pivot point, and it opens a dialog asking for behavior. You can set the block to default to X,Y,Z orientation, and swivel to x,y,z when activated directly or with an activated block. then dock your pivoted entity. Now you have your glass canopy AND your transforming SDF1, and landing gear, and ramp-hatches and xwings from the same game mechanism... only one new block required.

I dont like the idea of them being separate entities, simply because of the stress it would have on my server because of big ships having even more entities on
