Asteroids and planets

What would happen if the collision setting was turned on and an asteroid hit a planet? Could that destroy the planet? I tried to do it but I couldn't get the asteroid to move very fast and I'm not going to sit and wait a whole hour or so for the rock to hit.

Would just bump the planet and possibly kill your computer or the server, depending if you're playing on solo or multiplayer.

I had fun on my little snow ball, though it didn't damage either the planet or the computer.

It'll just remove blocks on the dynamic object (the astreroid). The planet will stay intact.

It would be AWESOME if planets could be impacted and damaged by asteroids, it would look like it was straight out of Armageddon XD
