Artifical Gravity Wells

I was thinking that it would be neat if we could build our own black holes (minus the space warping) like space stations. They probably wouldn't have a specific purpose other than to be something to play around with.

Perhaps if enough of them are aligned properly, and used in conjunction with a jump drive, they could launch a ship with sufficient speed to cross galaxies.
