    Suggesting a module or chamber that causes the hosts chamber effects to be projected in a sphere, like shields, but so that other friendly ships can benefit from them.

    Like a carrier that can boost its fighters armor as long as they are within a ~few hundred meters.... or a dedicated cloak ship that can cloak others that remain close to it, etc.

    I'm surprised this thread didn't get more attention. Such a chamber option could lead to some interesting combos.

    For example...

    - Wide-area jammer: Separate recon chamber that applies your ships stealth strength to all allied ships, stations and/or structures within range.

    - Wide-area scanner: Relays your scan data to allied craft so that can see what you can see; whether it be a jamming/cloaked ship or ship system info.

    - Jump drive mass conduit: Creates a large radius warp field that allows other ships to follow you as you Jump. All allied ships within the field will be pulled to your destination when you jump there.

    - Shield extension: Extends your shields around friendlies at the expense recharge rate and/or overall capacity.

    - Thermal dissippator: Renders a ship or station resistant or even immune to sun damage; allowing you to build where enemies can't follow. Meanwhile, the field blocks sun damage like an eclipse; allowing allies to approach and keeping them safe while inside the field.

    - Thrust nullifier: Connects to tractor beam to reduce the thrust, acceleration and top speed of enemy ships, dependent on how strong your beam array is..

    All the above area effects could be great features, but might be hard to balance. Maybe they should never be able to share 100% of the bonus they would give installed onto the ship itself, being under multiple similar area effects should give diminishing returns, etc. except the jump drive and scanner bonuses, and the jump drive should probably demand the full power cost of jumping each of the ships in range of it, either from their own reactors or the reactor on the jump bubble ship.

    Why not then make it so that these effects decrease with distance?

    Let's say at 200m it's 100% but then for every 50/25m it decrease by 10%.
    That way it won't be possible to have 100% of each effect from several ships that have these chambers (unless of course they're all really close to each other, like a squadron of fighters)

    It would also give fleet formations more utility.
