Are custom playermodels possible?

Is it possible for someone to create a custom playermodel mod?

if you're able to work out the mess that is StarMade\data\models\character possibly, but i dont know.

There are skins available in the community content section. There should be some install instructions somewhere about where you put the files.

lots of examples of skins in the community content section.. however i dont think there is a single player MODEL mod yet.. should be possible. the game isn't locked down at all. .. its java

it's possible to make our own model with Ogre and export it into xml format but you 'll need to make skeleton and animations with it
