Anyone notice the ship named "Starter Ship Test" in the new update video?

The ship he's flying around while showing off the jump inhibitor appears to be named starter_ship_test_(some numbers). He's got nothing on the HUD selected, so he probably selected the ship he was in before getting in it. Are we getting a vanilla starter ship soon?

That would be a good way to make sure people do the tutorial. You should only need to do the tutorial once, though, so you don't have to go through it every time you start up on a server.

I remember seeing some screenshots of official newbie ship WIPs some months back, but I don't have the link anymore.

That would certainly not be a starter ship. It's large and I named it because of it's association to starter stuffs. Thats all I can say :p

Also, for the record, I was flying a modified Isanth

On my server I provide all new comers with a filled BluePrint (BP) of a startership.
The ship is from the community.

I have enabled this by modifying the GameConfig.xml file in the game root directory.
In my case the addition is as follows.

        <Blueprint>
            <Name>Startership_v2</Name>
            <Filled>true</Filled>
            <Slot>inventory</Slot>
        </Blueprint>

You will need to provide a BP on the server and replace Startership_v2 with your the BP name you want to give.
