Any ways to reduce lag?

So basically, if I come across a large ship, it sets my fps to about 3 or 4. It may be my computer, but I don't think that's the case, because people have no issue, but they have a worse computer :/ Are there any settings I can change? Thanks.

Aside from messing with java\'s memory allocation for the program. Try these:

• Turn off the backgroun image.
• Reduce your resolution.
• Make sure Bloom is off.
• Reduce the draw distance.

Never use wireless for gaming.

Oh wait. FPS are not lag related (lag= latency = connection-related). Your problems is maybe your gfx card? Maybe laptop with the default crappy Intel HD? Then your out of luck.

When i had lag issue,I followed your posts.Now i have good ping rate.Finally i checked my new ping using Whoisxy.com
