Any up-to-date wiki or other information source?

I have found that the wiki (all 3 of them tbh) is not so informative anymore (I am a relatively new player), plus lots of entries are just missing descriptions. For example I haven't found any Level 1 to 5 ores, and they all have different names. Grouping of reactors for optimal power output also seems alot different.

I want to be able to produce my own blocks from the stuff I mine but there is a lack of up-to-date information anywhere. For example I want to set up lists of minerals, ores and shards and make note of where I find every kind so I make mining more productive. And a lot of other things.

Is there any source of information on the game that is being maintained relatively quickly? I know the changelog has a lot of information on every patch but it doesn't have everything I would like to know. And yes, I could just explore the game and get to know it myself but I am already finding myself quite overburdened by the sheer amount of things that are possible.

    Thanks in advance,

    M.

Y'know, there was (or still is? I think) a big drive for the Wiki to be updated, and for a while it was quite good. Then it just...kinda...stopped.

It's also likely due to the somewhat small playerbase. Games like GTA and Minecraft have TENS of THOUSANDS of players, while Starmade has just a few hundred, maybe a few more. Get my drift?

Oh BTW welcome to Starmade, hope you enjoy the game as much as I and many others have (vet since inception!) personally I just played with my bro to find new stuff but I can understand wanting to have a good solid source.

    Thanks ^^

I have been playing today with manufacturing and although it required some time and needs ALOT of tweaking, I found it very enjoyable to set up 2 small factories that make 2 types of advanced armor. Not enough to fully armor-ize the ship I made, but I will get there. Most of my new knowledge comes from one of the people on the server I'm on, a very resourceful guy with whom I enjoy playing. The other part is just trying stuff out (even tho I got some ships blown up by that and therefore heavily discouraged, but that's me) and that works out at a decent pace.

I can imagine myself sinking hundreds of hours into this, just like with Terraria and Space Engineers, both simlar games with a much larger player-base. Space Engineers can be considered a rival but StarMade has so many more options, much larger builds, and by now more fun.

I like to think starmade as a more stable game than space engineers, because focus here is more on bugfixing than shiny features. If you like terraria you'll love starbound, same kinda thing in space but be warned the fandom is kinda sore because progress on the game is slow.

I also have StarBound, last time I played it was a long time ago. I should try it again sometime soon, since I heard all the nighly builds were being compiled into a big update around Christmas. Maybe if they finally made a proper questing system it would make more sense to play.
