I noticed that turrets still have a habit of not actually turning towards enemies at times and you see the beams being shot out of the ends of cannons in weird angles.
So of which looks like they are trying to do a back shot over the top of their own head while facing away from their target.
It doesn't hurt so much for systems where the turret is mounted exposed but when using a bunkered turret this means it simply shoots the hull of the ship.
