Any easier ways to obtain Logbooks?

I was wondering if there was a command or something that gave me logbooks. I'm trying to make a "storyline" to my universe and I'll probably try posting it so people can play it; kind of like custom maps in Minecraft.

Thing is, in order to create a world, have seemingly interactive dialogue, and simply just for background storyline, I'll need a LOT of logbooks.

I've been working on this for a while now, and I remember that a few updates ago you could command them in. However, it seems that the feature has been taken out or changed.

Any help, guys?
