I'd like to start off with a big shout out to the user "Worms" whose winning abandoned station design (Freezing Nova) made it onto the game and inspired me to make the first of many ships based on his aesthetic.

Notes: This is pretty much my first serious attempt at making something in Starmade (learning quite a lot in the process), There is still a lot I want to improve with this build, notably making the weapon systems stronger but I'm not that good with weapons in this game so if anyone would like to help me out with that is would be appreciated. I know I pale in comparison to a lot of builders on here but any criticism will help.

Description: Smaller than most Angelic battleships, Crusaders tend to strike a balance between weaponry, armor, and acceleration. They are able fill many types of rolls on the battlefield while not being overly adapt at one. Many Crusaders often serve as command ships for smaller fleets when the presence of an Angel Class ship is not needed or is not available. As such they are the highest Class of ship Humans can command themselves within the Angelic Union.

The "Angels" otherwise known as Artificial Neural Guided Entities of Light were first conceived after major breakthroughs in artificial intelligence were made by humans in outer rim colonies using recovered ancient alien technology. Modeled in appearance as angels from old earth mythology theses sentient intelligence systems boasted highly advance command and control capabilities used for strategic warfare purposes. 24 in all were created during project dubbed "Genesis" with each Angel being capable of simultaneously controlling entire fleets of networked ships and planetary defense systems. However due to their complexity and power requirements Angels could only normally housed on larger ships. Each angel had a powerful ship of unique design built for their AI consciousness to be housed in. As time went on and Man's enemies drew closer and more in number, people began to see these AI more as saviors than mere machines. Some cults even started to form around the various Angels elevating them to the status of deities. This in turn began to affect the AI's programming causing some forget their true nature as machines and to start believing they were gods themselves. After a cataclysmic event in which a large number of humanity in the outer rim was lost, the AI's using their advanced knowledge and capabilities took over the role of rebuilding and guiding humanity thus becoming their savors and eventual rulers. The remnants of humanity, some being the members of the cults, helped usher in their rule and eventually their true nature as AI was forgotten. Today the Angels, known overall as the Angelic Union or AU, maintain various fleets from their orbital ornate "castles" with each protecting their own fiefdom of humanity and in return are maintained and venerated by humans they rule and protect.

AU Ship Classification
Deus (Mother-Ship)Only speculated as the Angels seem to reference a supreme being that gives them a divine will, whether this belief is another evolution in their programming or an actual entity that surpasses the rest is a topic of much debate.
Seraphim (Capital-Ship) They boast unparalleled weaponry and defensive measures, able wipe out entire fleets and burn planets to ashes singlehandedly. Roughly a fourth of the Angels fall into this category. Not much else is known about these ship due to no surviving accounts of this class in combat have been found.
Ophanim (Carrier) - As with most Angels, the Ophanim class tend to expulse the use of human crews and as such mostly carry large complements of fighter drones and other automated small to medium combat craft.
Archangel (Dreadnaught) Paragons of ship to ship combat, dreadnaughts often go into engagements without escort ships as they are usually bristling with enough shielding and turrets to target multitudes of enemies at a time. Another reason for the lone nature of these ships is that Angels of this class tend favor the use of obscene amounts of heat seeker arrays that indiscriminately target friend and foes alike. It is for this reason that these Angels tend not to engage in fleet actions with others of their kind unless absolutely necessary. (Unconfirmed, Tau)

Many of the Angels whose primary programming was space combat have these class of ships as their chosen form. All ships built to host Angels have 2 common rooms, the Throne room and Angel Core. The Throne room is where an Angel manifests its avatar through the use of holographic emitters embedded in the floor while the Angel's true form is housed in the AI room or otherwise known as the "Angel Core". Formidable even compared to counterparts of different factions theses ships boast equal fire power and defense while favoring long range combat in the form of high impact cannons and large volleys of guided and unguided missiles. (Known Angels Theta; Omega)
