AI targetting

    Hello,

    I never was much of a forum person but i think i have some ideas that can improve gameplay. All these ideas can use some tweaking and most ideas i havent completely thought out yet and will be post later. So here is my idea on AI targetting.

    The targeting now is mostly at random or targetted at 1 target for attacking isnt really an issue but my idea can be a huge benefit and motivation for people building support ships which can decide faction warfare outcomes if used correctly.

    (Before i start explaining a caution for typos and weird sentences i made this post on my phone and will edit mistakes later)

    AI targetting allies:
    For this to work AI should be able to target allies so you can provide them with energy or shield if needed to save his life.

    How will you target with AI?:
    My idea was make ai computers and like lock on missiles once locked on it will fire but instead of keeping point at that one ship once locked the ai turret keeps firing untill you say otherwise or is drained from his utility resource.

    But i have 25 turrets!
    I thought of this to by being able to group turrets (multiple ai bobby connected to single computer) instead of locking 25 turrets to support one ship, this would allow you to also support lets say 5 ships by dividing the 25 turrets in 5 groups and so on.

    This could also be usefull for targetting multiple people in offence.

    Once again this post was made from my phone i will rewrite it once im home bit im curious about what people think of it so far, or see issues i did not think about yet which we can then try to tackle and solve.
