Pretty basic suggestion, two points. First, I'm sure I'm not the only one annoyed with the fact that AI will not target turrets. So that should be a thing.

Second, if the AI would prioritize targeting based on relative mass. So, for instance, fighter craft will attack turrets before attacking the main hull because turrets are closer in mass to the fighter. Also, any turrets set to target 'Any' will prioritize craft closes to them in mass. The 'Selected target' setting would of course override this. This would make drones much more useful, as they'd naturally attack the enemy's guns, and it'd reduce the number of dead ships that continue to wreck your fighter swarms after a skirmish, since their guns would probably have been shot off first.

This would make mobs a little more interesting to fight, as you'd have fighters trying to wreck your turrets, and enemy turrets targeting your point-defenses, meanwhile large enemy ships would ignore your fighters and focus their firepower on your main ship. A little more 'realism' for a relatively small change in the game.
