I realise a large AI update is on the way, but I have a suggestion for turrets none the less.
I have a carrier, and the carrier has 10 turrets, 4 missile turrets and 6 machine gun turrets. I don't have any missile defence turrets, which gave me the idea to introduce prioritising to turrets.
I imagine the system to work like this:
You have the "target" box, the same as always, but underneath there is a "prioritise" box, this box would probably have the same menu as the "target" box but basically means that it will shoot whatever is in the "prioritise" box first.
For example, there is a large ship that has fired a missile volley at you. Your machine gun turrets are set to: "target": any.
"prioritise": missiles.
The turrets would stop shooting the ship and attack the missiles then go back to firing on the ship.
