I'd like to suggest two sub options for AI controlled weapons- Volley and Burst/Stagger.
Volley means it will attempt to fire all weapon outputs at once, like the AI currently does.
Burst/Stagger means it will spread out the shots over the time period you enter into it. Say you have 3 lock-on missile computers on an AI vessel, and these have a 15 second reload. You could enter 1 second, and it would fire all three with a 0.33s delay between, then wait till they were reloaded and fire again. Or you could set it to 15 seconds, and have it fire a missile every 5 seconds, constantly.
[DOUBLEPOST=1451255610,1451255008][/DOUBLEPOST]After some thinking, I've discovered a potential flaw with this- no more cannon or cannon/cannon. Cannon/Beam set up to staggerfire at a high RoF would be a better choice.
