AI controlled turrets don't target Pirates

    My turrets target and shot at objects if I set them to "selected target", but if I set them to "any" they don't attack the pirates.

    I am in a faction and put a faction block on my ship, and I activated "declare war on hostile action". Still my turrets only target "selected target".

    Oddly enough my cannon-cannon turret on the same ship shots any enemy, this one works when I activate "any", but my missile turrets only shot objects when I set them to "selected target".

    The cannon cannon turret is a newer design, the missile turrets are older - but they should work I mean they shot right now with the AI but only if I set them to selected target. What is this sorcery?

    Declare war on hostile action is a Faction option in the Faction menu.

    Select target is an option in the Bobby AI block.

    Make sure the Bobby AI of the turret is set to attack any.

    Thx for the reply. I respawned the whole ship, that solved the problem.

    The turrets were set to "any", thought I allready had written that. ;)

    Nice that you got it to work. StarMade can be a little vague at times.

    Since you mentioned the declare war on hostile a long with the turret settings. I figured that you maybe toughed this setting effected how the turret responded to Pirates.

    Since the setting is about should your faction declare war on another faction that attacks you yes or no. If you turn it off then any shooting or damage you take. By someone in another faction. Will be ignored by your defense even if your turrets are turned on.

    You may already know this. In that case it is just a clarification to other people who might read this thread.
