Just a small topic for players to post advice for newbies.

TIPS FOR NUBS

1. Stay clear of pirates. Should be self-explanitory. Stay clear of those ruffians. Unless you are well armed.
2. DONT SHOOT THE SHOPS! Honestly dont. I know its fun to terrorize NPC's but really, its not the thing to do!
3. Practice makes Perfect. You need to arm up. Take a look at some pre made ships and try and make some Ships that are ready for war!
4. Mine to Shine! You'll have to make a few pit stops on your journey. I suggest going UNDER planets to get larger amounts of minerals as well as Astroids.

5. Check the level. There are some minerals out there with higher levels than others. Higher the level, The more doe you rake in!

6. Abandoned Space-stations are a good source of credits! Harvest all glass and as much Grey Hull as you can 5000 - 10000 is usually a pretty effective amount, I promise you will be happy with your credits.

7. OVER 9000! Make sure you stock up on power generators. As well as shields!

Pirate stations are dangerout but can earn you a large amount of money.

As soon as you have a ship with 600+ shield/second you might want to try and capture one.
Take out the turrets first, then salvage the faction module.
After that, the chests in the bottom center are lootable.

One station can earn you over a billion credits.

I do think that it was a good idea for a topic, because I know when I started playing I was having a hard time. So I thought there should be a topic where advanced players could share tips to get newer players started!

Also I have found many Pirate Stations but I have never had the guts to raid one!

Lastly my friend and I have been working on some ideas for battle cruisers, missile cruisers, etc. So I was wondering if there is a place on the forums where I can post pictures and detailed descriptions of our different ships?

Can you tell me the location of faction modules on pirate stations? I\'ve been searching everywhere and can\'t find it on the station :/

Honestly I dont know where as I have never raided one. I would look it up on Youtube maybe?

If you select the station, the faction module often is right at the selection point, I think it always is actually.

The storage chests in pirate stations can always be blown up with a antimatter or salvage cannon. Pirate stations are very easy to take out also. Fly in, take out one turret, fly away, reg shield. Repeat.

Advice(/exploit): You can place a build block in an abandoned station, and then use the control mode (hold control down, increase numbers in top right corner) to remove huge chunks of the station at once.

When you shoot the shop and make the fleet dispatch, you can exit and come back then they will be frozen and you can loot them :D
