Hey all, I'm back have been out of the game for a while, and if have a few questions, when I originally played this game, my ships always looked terrible, but usually used to be over powered.

does anyone have any tips, advice, or a guide to making large ships and making them look good, whilst having all the essentials, maybe an interior too.

Also, build the hull first, then the inside.

That\'s basicly what I\'ve been doing, my last project was huge, 1000 wide 2000 long, but ended up basicly a big square, didn\'t like that.

Rule #1 of making an epic ship- don\'t copy something from a movie. Instead, draw out a cool looking ship on paper, then go off of that.

Usually try to come up with a cool silhouette for your ship, start with the side profile. Make sure you have a pourpose for your ship, and try to use interesting materials, like glass plating

I start with the internals build the energie core until it hits 1 mil regen and cover it up with shields the I build a frame and the hull around the core.

In the building process it locks like this.

If you want combat capability over looks, interiors must be built first with a clear and specific goal.

    EG

The ship MUST have X amount of AMC, Y amount of shieds with enough power to power it for Z seconds. It must have \"A\" amount of thrust.

Notice all the \"musts\"? Once you are done, build the hull around the system. Don\'t compromise your goals unless you intend to make another \"class\".

I dont know how to build good looking ships though.
